Business
Crimson Metal Engineering Company Limited is an India-based industrial manufacturer and distributor specializing in the production, trading, and export of Electric Resistance Welded steel pipes, tubes, and structural hollow sections. Founded in 1985 and formerly known as Sri Saarbati Steel Tubes Limited, the company is headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and operates its core manufacturing plant in the Sedarapet Industrial Estate in Puducherry, India. Crimson Metal Engineering Company Limited manufactures and supplies a comprehensive portfolio of steel tubular solutions adhering to Bureau of Indian Standards specifications, comprising mild steel black ERW pipes; hot-dip galvanized iron and steel pipes across diverse diameter and thickness specifications; pre-galvanized plain steel pipes rolled from specialized coils; square and rectangular hollow structural steel sections; custom industrial steel tubing; and integrated steel trading and commercial leasing services. The company supplies its engineering products to a wide spectrum of industrial end-markets, including automotive fabrication, building and structural scaffolding, agricultural irrigation systems, fencing, railway infrastructure, heavy engineering, sugar processing, cement mills, and energy utilities. Geographically, the company serves a nationwide distribution network throughout India while exporting steel products to international markets across South Asia, including Sri Lanka, as well as the Middle East and surrounding regions. In recent operational and corporate developments, the company has broadened its revenue streams by expanding steel trading and asset leasing activities alongside its primary tube manufacturing business; reconstituted its board and senior executive management through key leadership appointments, including a new whole-time director; optimized operations at its Puducherry facility, which maintains an annual production capacity of 50,000 metric tons of steel pipes and 18,000 metric tons of galvanizing capacity; and updated corporate governance and statutory oversight frameworks to reinforce capital discipline and support commercial distribution channels.
