Business
Foundry Fuel Products Limited (FFPL.BO), a subsidiary of Castron Mining Limited, manufactures low ash metallurgical coke at its plant in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India, with an installed capacity of 45,000 MTPA supported by a coal washery; trades coal and sand preparation for foundries; and deals in middlings and rejects, hard coke dust, and slurry residue, serving steel, foundries, and chemical industries primarily in India. Founded on April 9, 1964, and headquartered at G.T. Road, P.O. Govindpur, Jealgora, Dhanbad, the company maintains its registered office in Kolkata, West Bengal. Although its factory has been non-operational since 2010 due to working capital shortages, promoters actively pursue fund infusions for operational revival, as noted in the 2023-24 annual report amid ongoing net losses, including Rs 0.05 crore for the September 2025 quarter, with no material changes, acquisitions, partnerships, or strategic shifts reported in the last 1-2 years.
