Orient Green Power Company Limited (GREENPOWER.NS), an independent renewable energy power producer, develops, owns and operates wind, biomass and solar power plants primarily in India. Established in 2006 and headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Orient Green Power operates mainly across various states in India and maintains international wind assets in Croatia. Promoted by SVL Limited, part of the Shriram Group, the company plans to expand its wind capacity beyond 1,000 MW and pursues a diversified renewable energy portfolio. In November 2025, it allotted 513,333 equity shares worth Rs 51.33 million to itself in subsidiary Delta Renewable Energy Private Limited at Rs 10 per share, maintaining a 70% stake to support Delta's 7 MW AC solar power project slated for commissioning by December 2025; earlier in 2024, the company launched a Rs 2.5 billion rights issue to fund growth initiatives; in 2023, it issued rights shares in a 19:62 ratio at par, and in 2020, it merged wholly-owned subsidiary Orient Green Power (Maharashtra) Private Limited into itself.
