Business
Burnham Holdings, Inc. is a holding company and parent of subsidiaries that design, manufacture, and market boilers and related heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) products and accessories for residential, commercial, and industrial applications in the United States. Founded in 1873 and headquartered in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the company operates manufacturing facilities in the East, South, and Midwestern U.S. and serves markets including homes, small buildings, educational facilities, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and institutional sectors. Residential subsidiaries U.S. Boiler Company, Velocity Boiler Works, New Yorker Boiler Company, and Governale offer high-efficiency condensing stainless steel and aluminum boilers, cast iron and steel gas and oil-fired boilers, combination heat and hot water boilers, indirect-fired water heaters, warm air furnaces, cast iron radiators, baseboards, and convectors; commercial subsidiaries Burnham Commercial, Bryan Steam, and Thermal Solutions provide firetube scotch marine and firebox boilers, flexible water tube boilers, high-pressure steam units, copper-finned boilers, modular cast iron water and steam boilers, and water heaters, supplemented by CSI Services for boiler installation and maintenance and Thermal InMotion for mobile boiler rentals; associated businesses Casting Solutions produces gray and ductile iron castings while Lancaster Metal Manufacturing fabricates sheet metal components. In 2025, Burnham Holdings divested substantially all assets of subsidiaries Thermo Pride and Norwood Manufacturing to R.W. Beckett Corporation for $27.6 million in cash to focus on core hydronic boiler operations, high-efficiency condensing products, and expansion of commercial and industrial rental and service capabilities, alongside the wind down of Crown Boiler manufacturing.
