Business
Corby Spirit and Wine Limited manufactures, markets, imports and distributes spirits, wines and ready-to-drink cocktails primarily in Canada, with exports to the United States, Europe and other international markets. The company, founded in 1859 and headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, operates through two segments, Case Goods and Commissions; its owned brands include J.P. Wiser's Canadian whisky, Lamb's rum, Polar Ice vodka, McGuinness liqueurs, Cottage Springs and Nude ready-to-drink beverages, Ungava Spirits Company products and wines from Foreign Affair Winery; through affiliation with Pernod Ricard S.A., which holds a significant ownership stake, Corby represents international brands such as Absolut vodka, Chivas Regal, The Glenlivet and Ballantine's Scotch whiskies, Jameson Irish whiskey, Beefeater gin, Malibu rum, Kahlua liqueur, Mumm champagne, Jacob's Creek, Stoneleigh, Campo Viejo, Kenwood Vineyards and Perrier-Jouet. Most Corby-owned brands are blended and bottled at the Hiram Walker facility in Windsor, Ontario. In recent developments, Corby entered a two-year agreement effective September 1, 2025, with Vinarchy North America, Inc. to exclusively represent Jacob's Creek, Stoneleigh and Campo Viejo wines in Canada following Vinarchy's 2025 formation from the merger of Accolade Wines and Pernod Ricard Winemakers; the company previously acquired majority stakes in Ace Beverage Group, a key ready-to-drink player, Ungava Spirits Co. and Foreign Affair Winery to bolster its portfolio.
