Chatham Lodging Trust (NYSE: CLDT), a self-advised, publicly traded real estate investment trust founded in 2009 and headquartered in West Palm Beach, Florida, invests primarily in upscale extended-stay hotels and premium-branded select-service hotels located in major U.S. metropolitan markets with high barriers to entry, including Silicon Valley, the Coastal Northeast, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Greater New York, San Diego, Dallas, Seattle, Austin, Pittsburgh, Charleston and Houston across 16 states and the District of Columbia. The company owns 37 hotels totaling 5,596 rooms/suites, featuring upscale extended-stay properties under the Residence Inn by Marriott brand (16 hotels), Homewood Suites by Hilton brand (four hotels), Home2 Suites by Hilton brand (two hotels) and TownePlace Suites by Marriott brand (one hotel); premium-branded select-service hotels under the Courtyard by Marriott brand (four hotels), Hampton Inn or Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton brand (three hotels), Hilton Garden Inn by Hilton brand (three hotels), SpringHill Suites by Marriott brand (one hotel) and Hyatt Place brand (two hotels); and upper-upscale all-suite hotels under the Embassy Suites by Hilton brand (one hotel). All properties are managed by Island Hospitality Management, LLC, a company owned by Chairman, President and CEO Jeffrey H. Fisher. In 2024, Chatham Lodging Trust sold or placed under contract six older hotels for net proceeds of $101 million, repaid $297 million of debt to reduce net debt by $29 million and lowered its leverage ratio to 23.1 percent; during 2025, the company refinanced and upsized its unsecured credit facility to $500 million from $400 million with potential expansion to $650 million maturing in September 2029, increased its quarterly common dividend by 29 percent to $0.09 per share, commenced development of a Home2 Suites hotel in Portland, Maine, and acquired the Home2 Suites by Hilton Phoenix Downtown to expand its portfolio.
