Business
CMG Holdings Group, Inc. is a marketing communications company that operates organizations within the alternative advertising, digital media, experiential and interactive marketing, and entertainment industries primarily in the United States. Its main products and services include event production and promotion, event design, sponsorship evaluation, negotiation and activation, talent buying, show production, and stage and set design. The company also offers branding and design services covering graphic, industrial, and package design across traditional and new media, along with public relations, social media, media development and relations, and interactive marketing platform services. It develops, manages, and executes sales promotion programs and provides its clients with private digital media networks for designing individual broadcasting digital channels, promoting digital media video content through mobile, online, and social platforms, supported by data analysis and management activities. Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, CMG Holdings operates through its segments including XA The Experiential Agency, Inc. A significant recent development is its ongoing investment and operational expansion in Magnetic Vacuum Upgrading (MVU) technology that increases the value and quality of low-grade petroleum by removing impurities. In 2023, CMG Holdings acquired BHV, a developer and licensor of seismic interpretation software that incorporates artificial intelligence and machine learning for subsurface decision-making in geoscience, broadening its technological footprint. The company is also moving its MVU technology to a larger facility in southern New Jersey to enhance commercial scale operations and profitability potential. Additionally, its experiential marketing subsidiary XA is executing major marketing campaigns, including a $2 million tourism campaign in New York City for a European nation, managed by a leading global advertising agency. CMG Holdings continues to focus on expanding its market engagement framework and investing in product innovation, sales tools, and strategic acquisitions to support growth and shareholder value. The company, formerly known as CMG Holdings, Inc., changed its name to CMG Holdings Group, Inc. in October 2011 and is publicly traded under the ticker CMGO on the OTC Markets. Its services span corporate event activations, interactive marketing solutions, digital content promotion, and marketing communication industries, targeting varied clients in the marketing communication and entertainment sectors. Recent major strategic changes include its acquisition of BHV for diversification into AI-driven geoscience software and continued development of its MVU petroleum technology with potential carbon credit benefits. CMG Holdings maintains a lean corporate structure with a focus on strategic partnerships and joint ventures to foster growth in both marketing communications and environmentally focused technology applications.
