(NYSE: COR) serves as a leading global pharmaceutical solutions organization that provides end-to-end pharmaceutical distribution, commercialization support, and related services to manufacturers, healthcare providers, pharmacies, hospitals, and health systems worldwide. Founded in 1871 and headquartered in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, the company operates through U.S. Healthcare Solutions and International Healthcare Solutions segments; it distributes brand-name, specialty brand-name, generic and injectable pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter healthcare products, home healthcare supplies and equipment; offers wholesale and specialty distribution, pharmacy solutions, provider solutions, hospital and health system solutions, logistics and warehousing, drug research and clinical development support, commercialization support, and patient access and adherence programs; and serves acute care hospitals, independent and chain retail pharmacies, mail-order facilities, physicians, clinics, long-term care, assisted living centers, workers' compensation patients, and alternate site facilities across the United States, Canada, and other international markets. In recent developments, Cencora changed its name from AmerisourceBergen Corporation in August 2023; entered a definitive agreement in November 2024 to acquire Retina Consultants of America, a management services organization for retina specialists, for approximately $4.6 billion in cash plus up to $500 million in contingent consideration to expand its specialty capabilities and physician relationships; and announced in November 2025 a $1 billion investment through 2030 to strengthen its U.S. distribution network, including a new 530,000-square-foot national distribution center in Harrison, Ohio by spring 2027, expansions in Fontana, California and Dothan, Alabama with advanced automation and increased refrigerated capacity, and enhanced global cold chain logistics with a new third-party logistics facility planned in Italy in 2026.
