CTT maintains an extensive domestic infrastructure comprising 569 post offices, 1,806 postal agencies, 219 delivery offices, 4,089 delivery routes, and a fleet of 4,415 vehicles, while extending operations internationally with a focus on e-commerce logistics in the Iberian Peninsula and beyond. Founded in 1520 and headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal, CTT serves primarily the Portuguese market alongside cross-border activities in Europe. In December 2024, CTT Expresso agreed to acquire Compañia Auxiliar al Cargo Express, S.A.U. (CACESA), a Spanish cross-border e-commerce customs specialist, for €104 million in a debt-financed transaction expected to close in March or April 2025, enhancing its Iberian e-commerce logistics capabilities and marking a key milestone in its strategic transformation.
