CVD Equipment Corporation (NASDAQ: CVV) designs, develops, manufactures, and sells chemical vapor deposition (CVD), chemical vapor infiltration (CVI), physical vapor transport, thermal process equipment, gas and chemical delivery control systems, and related process solutions used to produce advanced materials and coatings for research, development, and production applications. The company offers core products including CVD and thermal systems for silicon carbide (SiC), graphene, carbon nanotubes, and nanowires; CVI, tow-coating, silicon bond coat, and ceramic matrix systems for ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) in aerospace and defense; ultra-high purity gas and chemical delivery systems through Stainless Design Concepts (SDC); corrosion-resistant Tantaline treatment for chemical processing and oil & gas; and FirstNano R&D tools for 2D materials and thin films. CVD Equipment serves markets such as aerospace & defense, high power electronics for electric vehicles, energy storage battery materials, medical devices, semiconductors, and nanomaterials, with operations in the United States, North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Central Islip, New York, the company operates through subsidiaries including Stainless Design Concepts and FirstNano, maintaining vertically integrated facilities for design, engineering, manufacturing, and support. In 2024, CVD Equipment expanded its product line with new CVI systems for CMCs, a second-generation silicon bond coat system, and an advanced ceramic matrix system alongside its legacy tow coat offerings; in November 2024, it secured a $3.5 million follow-on order for a production CVI system to manufacture energy-efficient CMCs for gas turbine engines; and in November 2025, it announced strategic initiatives to drive improved operational efficiencies.
