Business
DuPont de Nemours, Inc. (NYSE: DD) develops and manufactures high-performance engineered products and technology-based materials serving healthcare, water treatment, electronics, transportation, construction, safety and protection, and industrial applications worldwide. Headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, and founded in 1802, the company operates through two primary segments: ElectronicsCo, which provides semiconductor fabrication consumables such as chemical mechanical planarization slurries, microlithography materials, electronic polymers, and specialty films for displays including organic light emitting diodes; and IndustrialsCo, which offers water purification solutions including reverse osmosis membranes and ion exchange resins, medical packaging and devices, high-performance fibers such as Kevlar and Nomex, automotive and aerospace materials for electric vehicles and engine efficiency, building products for energy efficiency and fire resilience, and flexographic printing and digital inks. The company maintains manufacturing facilities in the United States including Virginia, West Virginia, Alabama, and Texas, as well as internationally in Belgium and China, targeting semiconductor manufacturers, medical device producers, water treatment facilities, automotive and aerospace suppliers, construction firms, and industrial equipment providers. Recent developments include the August 2025 agreement to divest its Aramids business encompassing Kevlar and Nomex brands to Arclin for approximately $1.8 billion, with the transaction expected to close in early 2026 to sharpen portfolio focus and enhance growth margins while retaining an equity interest; plans to spin off its ElectronicsCo business by the end of 2025 as Qnity; the July 2024 acquisition of medical device contract manufacturer Donatelle Plastics for $313 million to bolster capabilities in injection molding, liquid silicone rubber processing, and device assembly within its healthcare offerings; and a strategic cooperation agreement with Zhen Ding Technology Group announced in October 2024 to advance high-end printed circuit board applications.
