- DFR Gold Inc. is a Canada-based mineral exploration and mine-development company focused on the acquisition, exploration, evaluation and advancement of gold and zircon mineral properties in West Africa and Madagascar. The Company’s principal asset is the Cascades Gold Project in Burkina Faso, comprising the Wuo Land and other prospective areas, where it conducts geological mapping, geochemical sampling, trenching, drilling, mineral-resource estimation and feasibility-stage development activities. Cascades hosts a December 2021 maiden mineral resource comprising indicated resources of 264,000 ounces of gold at 1.52 grams per tonne and inferred resources of 371,000 ounces at 1.67 grams per tonne. DFR Gold also holds the Gurara gold projects in Nigeria’s Benin-Nigeria Shield, including four exploration licences across the Dagma and Paimasa project areas, targeting gold-bearing vein systems; and the Beravina project in Madagascar, a hard-rock zircon deposit with a mineral resource estimate of 1.5 million tonnes grading 22.7% zircon (ZrSiO4), equivalent to 15.3% ZrO2. The Company’s activities principally serve the mining and mineral-development sector, with operations and exploration interests in Burkina Faso, Nigeria and Madagascar. DFR Gold is incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act in 2000, is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol DFR. It formerly operated as Diamond Fields Resources Inc. and adopted the DFR Gold Inc. name in January 2023. Recent strategic developments center on advancing Cascades toward development: the Company commenced a feasibility study in August 2025, exercised the Wuo Land option and obtained US$1.0 million in shareholder loan facilities from Spirit Resources SARL and Brian Kiernan to support the study and working capital. In February 2026, DFR Gold secured a further US$1.2 million in unsecured, 8%-interest shareholder loan facilities, equally provided by Spirit Resources SARL and Brian Kiernan, to continue the Cascades feasibility study and fund general working-capital requirements.
