Business
Delek Logistics Partners, LP (DKL) owns and operates midstream energy infrastructure assets, including pipelines, storage tanks, terminals, and transportation assets that gather, fractionate, store, and transport crude oil, refined products, natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, and intermediates. The company provides fee-based services such as crude oil gathering via pipelines and trucks; refined products transportation through pipelines, terminals, and barges; fractionation services processing natural gas liquids into propane, butane, and natural gasoline; storage of crude oil, intermediates, and refined products; wholesale marketing of gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel; and water disposal services for produced water from oil and gas operations. Its assets support Delek US Holdings, Inc., with whom it maintains a key commercial relationship through long-term, fee-based contracts. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee, Delek Logistics Partners operates primarily in the United States, with key assets concentrated in the Permian Basin of West Texas, the Eagle Ford Shale region of South Texas, the Gulf Coast region, and the Mississippi River system. The company serves upstream, midstream, and downstream customers in the energy sector, including producers, refiners, and marketers, focusing on stable, cash-generative logistics supporting crude oil production and refined products distribution. Subsidiaries include logistics systems suchL as the Lion Oil pipeline system and terminals in Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana. In recent developments, Delek Logistics Partners completed the acquisition of the remaining 50.6% interest in SALA Gathering Systems LLC in February 2024, solidifying control over a 260-mile crude oil gathering system in the Permian Basin and boosting its produced water gathering volumes. The company launched a new water disposal service in the Permian Basin in 2024, expanding its midstream offerings to handle produced water from Delek US Holdings' operations. Additionally, in 2024, it increased distributions to unitholders by 4% following strong performance from Permian assets and executed debt refinancing to extend maturities and lower costs.
