DENSO Corporation (OTC: DNZOF) manufactures advanced automotive components, systems, and technologies for global vehicle manufacturers, encompassing electrification systems including batteries and inverters; powertrain systems such as gasoline and diesel engine components, hybrid powertrains, and fuel injection systems; thermal systems comprising air conditioning, engine cooling, and cabin heaters; mobility electronics featuring instrument clusters, airbag systems, pre-crash radar, infotainment, and connectivity solutions; and advanced devices like spark plugs, sensors, and filtration products. The company also produces aftermarket parts including alternators, starters, oxygen sensors, fuel pumps, wipers, and ignition coils; industrial solutions for factory automation and robotics; food value chain technologies for agricultural industrialization; and home systems such as household air conditioning equipment. DENSO operates in automotive and non-automotive segments, serving original equipment manufacturers, aftermarket distributors, factories, and agricultural producers worldwide across Japan, North America, Europe, Asia, and other regions, with 187 consolidated subsidiaries and 37 affiliates under the equity method. Founded on December 16, 1949, and headquartered at 1-1, Showa-cho, Kariya, Aichi 448-8661, Japan, DENSO generates consolidated revenue of ¥7,161.8 billion (US$47.9 billion) for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, employing 158,056 people globally. In recent developments, DENSO agreed in September 2024 to pursue a strategic partnership with ROHM Co., Ltd. in the semiconductor field, including DENSO's acquisition of a portion of ROHM's shares to ensure stable supply of high-efficiency analog, power, and discrete semiconductors for vehicle electrification, automated driving, and carbon neutrality initiatives. In July 2025, DENSO acquired Axia Vegetable Seeds B.V., a Netherlands-based tomato seed breeder with €48 million in 2024 revenue, to advance sustainable agriculture through integration of DENSO's AI, image recognition, and automation technologies with seed development for data-driven, climate-resilient greenhouse cultivation. Additionally, in September 2024, DENSO announced plans to build a new plant at its Zenmyo facility in Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture, with a 69 billion yen investment starting in fiscal 2025 for completion in January 2027 and production in fiscal 2028, bolstering manufacturing capacity.
