Recent strategic developments include the 2024 completion of the acquisition of Liberty Mutual's Latin American operations, positioning Talanx as one of the top insurers in the region, enhancing Retail International's property/casualty market share and contributing significantly to Group net income ahead of schedule. In late 2025, Talanx announced plans to convert its legal form from AG to a European Company (Societas Europaea, SE) by the end of 2026, pending shareholder approval at the 2026 Annual General Meeting, to further emphasize its international orientation with enhanced employee representation structures. The company also agreed to end its strategic partnership with Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance by December 31, 2025, enabling Talanx to acquire the remaining shares in Polish subsidiaries Warta (24.3% stake) and TU Europa (50% minus one share) in early 2026, boosting full consolidation of earnings and dividends; additionally, the Retail Germany partnership with Targobank expires at the end of 2025 amid portfolio optimizations.
