Business
Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits Inc. produces, markets, distributes and sells wines, ciders and other beverage-alcohol products in Canada. The Company operates through Manufactured Wines and Agency segments, combining vineyard and winery operations with national sales, marketing and distribution activities. Its manufactured portfolio consists predominantly of Canadian VQA wines and ciders marketed under the 20 Bees, Creekside, D’Ont Poke the Bear, EastDell, Lakeview Cellars, Mindful, Shiny Apple Cider, Fresh Wines, Red Tractor, Seasons, Serenity and Backyard Vineyards brands. Diamond Estates operates four production facilities—three in Ontario and one in British Columbia—and sells products through provincial liquor boards, licensed retail stores and grocery chains. Through its commercial agency division, Trajectory Beverage Partners, Diamond Estates represents more than 120 domestic and international beverage-alcohol brands across Canada. Its agency wine portfolio includes Fat Bastard and Gabriel Meffre from France; Kaiken from Argentina; Kings of Prohibition from Australia; Yealands, Kono, Tohu and Joiy Sparkling Wine from New Zealand; Talamonti and Cielo from Italy; Porta 6, Julia Florista, Boas Quintas, Catedral and Cabeca de Toiro from Portugal; and C.K Mondavi & Family, Charles Krug, Line 39, Harken, FitVine and Rabble from California. Its spirits representation includes Tag Vodka, Ginslinger Gin and Barnburner Whisky from Ontario; Cofradia Tequila and Hussong’s Tequila from Mexico; and Islay Mist Scotch whisky, among other brands. The Company targets Canadian consumer, retail, hospitality and provincial liquor-board channels, and markets certain products internationally. Recent developments include improved Winery division sales and profitability in fiscal 2026, when revenue increased to C$29.9 million from C$24.5 million in fiscal 2025, supported by a 22% increase in Winery division sales; the Company also continued to reduce lower-margin Agency sales in Western Canada. In October 2025, trading in its common shares resumed on the TSX Venture Exchange following the completion of its filing process, and the Company announced an amendment to its credit agreement with Bank of Montreal. In December 2025, Diamond Estates replaced certain outstanding convertible debentures, including C$3.35 million held by Lassonde Holding and Lassonde Industries, with replacement debentures maturing November 9, 2026 and convertible at C$0.22 per share. In January 2026, Lassonde Industries acquired a C$1.304 million unsecured convertible debenture of Diamond Estates through a privately negotiated transaction. Founded in 1999, Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits Inc. is headquartered in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada.
