Founded in 1823 as the New York Gas Light Company and headquartered at 4 Irving Place in New York, New York, Consolidated Edison serves industrial, commercial, residential, and government customers across its 660-square-mile core territory with a population of nearly 9 million, while maintaining operations concentrated in the United States.
