Founded in 2005, the company provides an integrated suite of non-banking financial services, investment banking, asset management, securities brokerage, and research solutions to institutional, corporate, small and medium-sized enterprise (SME), and retail clients across Egypt and the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The company operates through two primary divisions: Investment Bank & Capital Markets and Non-Banking Financial Services (NBFS). Its core products and services comprise: investment banking advisory, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), equity capital markets (ECM), debt capital markets (DCM), pre-IPO structuring, corporate restructuring, and private placements; securities brokerage services, encompassing institutional and retail equity trading, fixed income brokerage, margin finance, global depository receipt (GDR) trading, and electronic trading execution via CI Capital Securities Brokerage and Dynamic Securities Trading; asset management solutions, including the management of equity, fixed income, money market, balanced, Sharia-compliant, and sector-specific mutual funds, as well as discretionary segregated portfolios for institutions, sovereign entities, and high-net-worth individuals via CI Asset Management; equity and macroeconomic research, delivering macroeconomic forecasts, sector reports, and equity valuations across MENA markets; commercial leasing services, consisting of financial leasing, operating leasing, structured equipment financing, and sale-and-leaseback solutions for large corporations and SMEs through its subsidiary Corporate Leasing Company (Corplease); microfinance lending, delivering micro-loans, working capital finance, and nano-finance for small business owners and unbanked entrepreneurs via Reefy Microfinance Enterprise Services; consumer finance products, including point-of-sale installment financing, direct-to-consumer digital lending, and lifestyle loans through Souhoola; mortgage finance, providing residential, commercial, and administrative property financing through CI Mortgage Finance; and healthcare merchant banking through MCI Capital Healthcare Partners. Geographically, the group operates an extensive nationwide branch network across Egypt for its microfinance, leasing, and consumer credit operations, while maintaining regional offices and cross-border distribution capabilities in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to service Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and global institutional investors. In recent developments, CI Capital has expanded its strategic alliances and asset management product suite, notably partnering with proptech platform Nawy Shares to launch digitally enabled real estate investment funds, and establishing C3 Capital in partnership with Compass Capital as Egypt's first onshore private equity fund focused on Egyptian Exchange-listed equities. The firm also broadened its thematic fund offerings through the launch of CI-ctor, Egypt's first sectoral equity investment fund, and Misr Green Sustainability, an open-ended sustainable equity fund. In debt capital markets, CI Capital has served as financial advisor, lead arranger, and bookrunner on several landmark securitization bond issuances, including multi-billion Egyptian Pound transactions for Tasaheel Finance, Tamweel Mortgage, and Fawry Microfinance. Additionally, the group completed governance updates with the appointment of Banque Misr Chief Executive Officer Hisham Okasha as Chairman of the Board of Directors, while continuing to scale its regional operations in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
