Business
Entegris, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENTG) manufactures and supplies advanced materials and process solutions for the semiconductor, life sciences, and other high-technology industries worldwide. The company offers filtration products that purify process gases, fluids, and the ambient fab environment; liquid systems and components that dispense, control, analyze, or transport process fluids; gas delivery systems that safely store and deliver toxic gases; specialty chemistries including advanced liquid, gaseous, and solid precursors for chemical vapor deposition and atomic layer deposition processes, as well as organometallic, organosilane materials, monomers, polymers, and isotopically labeled compounds; polishing pads and slurries for chemical mechanical planarization applications on silicon carbide and gallium nitride substrates; single-use assemblies for biopharmaceutical storage, freezing, and shipment; specialty coatings for wear-resistance, corrosion protection, and smoothness; premium graphite and silicon carbide components; shippers, trays, and microenvironments that protect semiconductor wafers, reticles, medical devices, and disk drive components from contamination and breakage; and cleaning solutions for e-chucks and probe cards. Founded in 1966 and headquartered in Billerica, Massachusetts, Entegris operates a global network of manufacturing, research, and customer service facilities across North America, Europe, Asia, and other regions, serving leading semiconductor manufacturers and high-tech customers with approximately 8,200 employees and $3.2 billion in 2024 net sales. Recent developments include a definitive agreement in December 2024 with the U.S. Department of Commerce for up to $77 million in CHIPS Act funding to support its new $600 million manufacturing center of excellence in Colorado Springs, Colorado, which began operations in early 2025 and boosts production of front-opening unified pods, advanced liquid filtration, purification products, and fluid handling solutions while creating nearly 600 jobs; a $700 million investment announced in September 2025 to establish a new U.S. Technology Center in Illinois, elevating total domestic investments to $1.4 billion; and a $550 million expansion in Taiwan to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
