- Euromax Resources Ltd. is a Canadian mineral exploration and development company focused on advancing the Ilovica-Shtuka gold-copper project in the Republic of North Macedonia. The Company’s principal activity is the acquisition, exploration, development, financing, construction and intended operation of mineral resource interests, with operations conducted through its wholly owned Macedonian subsidiary, Euromax Resources DOO Skopje. Its flagship Ilovica-Shtuka asset comprises the Ilovica 6 and Ilovica 11 exploitation concessions and is planned as a bulk-tonnage open-pit copper-gold porphyry mining operation. The proposed project is designed to produce gold and copper-bearing material and associated mineral products, with reported average annual production expectations of approximately 83,000 ounces of gold and 16,000 tonnes of copper, subject to permitting, financing, construction and operational development. Euromax targets international metals markets and stakeholders in North Macedonia through the planned development of what it describes as the country’s first modern mine, emphasizing mining practices aligned with Macedonian regulations and international industry standards. The Company was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with operational offices in Skopje, North Macedonia.
Recent strategic developments center on permitting, project consolidation, financing and governance. In June 2026, the Higher Administrative Court of the Republic of North Macedonia annulled the 2023 withdrawal of approval to merge the Ilovica 6 and Ilovica 11 exploitation concessions, restoring the original government merger approval and enabling the Company to pursue finalization of a new agreement with relevant state institutions. Euromax has stated that it intends to bring the consolidated Ilovica-Shtuka project into construction and commercial production after completing permitting and securing construction funding. In 2025 and early 2026, the Company completed a private placement in tranches, settled a US$804,000 promissory note owed to major shareholder Galena Resource Equities Limited through the issuance of common shares, and extended convertible loans provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and CC Ilovitza, a member of the CCC Group, to February 28, 2027. Board and management changes during the period included the appointment of Maciej Sciazko, Head of Mining Operations for Trafigura Group, as a non-executive director in October 2025, the appointment of P. Gage Jull as non-executive chairman in January 2026, and subsequent executive leadership changes.
