(NYSE: EQH) operates as a diversified financial services holding company focused on retirement, protection, and investment solutions through its principal franchises, Equitable and AllianceBernstein; Equitable provides individual retirement products including variable annuities such as Structured Capital Strategies, group retirement plans for educational, municipal, and small business sponsors, life insurance offerings, and wealth management services via Equitable Advisors; AllianceBernstein delivers global asset management, research, private markets investments, and related services across equities, fixed income, alternatives, and multi-asset strategies. Founded in 1859 and headquartered at 1345 Avenue of the Americas in New York, the company serves over 2.8 million clients primarily in the United States with $754 billion in assets under management, targeting individuals, institutions, and retirement plan sponsors. Recent developments include the October 2025 agreement to acquire Stifel Independent Advisors, adding over 110 advisors and $9 billion in advisory assets to expand wealth management, set to close in Q1 2026; the September 2025 launch of Structured Capital Strategies Premier, a registered index-linked annuity enhancing upside potential and legacy benefits; a February 2025 reinsurance transaction with RGA reinsuring $32 billion in life insurance liabilities; and a $758 million tender offer in April 2025 increasing its economic interest in AllianceBernstein to 68.6%.
