(NYSE: EQS) is a Houston, Texas-based business development company founded in 1991 that invests in private equity opportunities targeting middle-market companies with revenues between $5 million and $150 million and EBITDA between $2 million and $50 million; its core investment strategies encompass leveraged buyouts, management buyouts, corporate partnerships and joint ventures, growth and expansion capital, acquisition financing, roll-up acquisition strategies, operational turnarounds, recapitalizations, special situations, equity and equity-oriented securities, subordinate debt, convertible debt, debt combined with warrants, preferred stock, and preferred equity financing, with a focus on sectors including technology, telecommunications, financial services, natural resources, industrial manufacturing and services, alternative energy, real estate, healthcare, education, e-learning, leisure and entertainment, and foreign investments in the United States, China, India, and Europe.
