(Nasdaq: EXPO) operates as a science and engineering consulting firm providing multidisciplinary solutions to complex technical, regulatory, and litigation challenges for clients across industries including chemicals, construction, consumer products, energy, food and beverage, government, life sciences, insurance, manufacturing, technology, transportation, and utilities; core services encompass biomechanics, biomedical engineering and sciences, civil and structural engineering, construction consulting, data sciences, electrical engineering and computer science, human factors, materials and corrosion engineering, mechanical engineering, polymer science and materials chemistry, thermal sciences, vehicle engineering, chemical regulation and food safety, ecological and biological sciences, environmental and earth sciences, health sciences, proactive product safety, litigation support, and technical regulatory consulting, delivered through two segments: engineering and other scientific, and environmental and health. Founded in 1967 as Failure Analysis Associates by Stanford University professors and engineers and renamed Exponent, Inc. in 1998, the company maintains headquarters in Menlo Park, California, with over 950 consultants operating from offices across the United States including Houston, Alexandria, Atlanta, Austin, Bowie, Burlington, Miami, Natick, and New York, as well as international locations in Canada, China, and other regions. Recent developments include reporting third-quarter fiscal 2025 revenues of $147.1 million with 8% growth driven by dispute-related work in energy, transportation, life sciences, and construction, alongside robust demand in utilities risk management, chemicals regulatory consulting, and emerging AI patent litigation; the board approved a $100 million increase to the share repurchase program, declared a $0.30 quarterly dividend payable December 19, 2025, raised full-year 2025 EBITDA margin guidance to 27.4%-27.65% with low single-digit revenue growth expected, and anticipates 4% headcount expansion to support rising technical demands in energy transition, data centers, digital health, and extreme weather resilience.
