- Ford Motor Company develops, manufactures, markets, and services Ford- and Lincoln-branded vehicles and mobility-related products worldwide. The Company’s automotive portfolio includes pickup trucks, sport utility vehicles, commercial vans, passenger cars, performance vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, battery-electric vehicles, vehicle parts, accessories, and connected digital services; key Ford nameplates include the F-Series, Ranger, Maverick, Super Duty, Mustang, Bronco, Explorer, Expedition, Escape, Edge, Transit, Transit Connect, E-Series, and Mustang Mach-E, while its Lincoln luxury portfolio includes the Navigator, Aviator, Nautilus, Corsair, and related models. Ford also provides commercial-vehicle solutions through Ford Pro, including vehicles, fleet management software, telematics, charging and energy-management services, productivity tools, vehicle maintenance and repair services, parts, and financing; and offers retail and commercial automotive financing, leasing, and insurance-related products through Ford Motor Credit Company LLC. The Company operates principally through Ford Blue, covering internal-combustion-engine and hybrid vehicles, parts, accessories, and retail digital services; Ford Model e, covering electric vehicles, EV platforms, software, and related digital products; Ford Pro, covering commercial vehicles and services; Ford Next, which develops selected mobility and technology initiatives; and Ford Credit. It sells vehicles and services through dealer networks, distributors, fleet customers, government entities, rental companies, and commercial customers, with manufacturing, sales, financing, and service activities across North America, Europe, China, South America, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific markets. Ford was founded in 1903 and is headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan. Recent strategic actions include a restructuring of its EV manufacturing capacity and product roadmap amid weaker-than-expected EV adoption: Ford has canceled planned full-size electric pickup and commercial-van programs for the United States and Europe, ended production of the current-generation F-150 Lightning, and is repositioning investment, production capacity, and technology spending to align with EV demand. In December 2025, Ford, SK On Co., Ltd., SK Battery America, Inc., and BlueOval SK, LLC entered into a joint-venture disposition agreement under which Ford’s BlueOval SK interest is to be redeemed and a Ford subsidiary is to acquire the two BlueOval SK battery plants and related equipment in Kentucky, subject to closing conditions; BlueOval SK was originally formed to build and operate EV battery facilities in Tennessee and Kentucky.
