Business
Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. (NYSE: FBIN) designs, manufactures and markets home improvement products focused on water innovations, outdoor living and security solutions for residential and commercial applications worldwide. Headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois, the company traces its roots to a 2011 spin-off from Fortune Brands, Inc. and employs approximately 11,700 associates primarily in North America. It operates through three main segments: Water Innovations, which offers faucets, showers, sinks, accessories, waste disposals and whole-home water management systems under brands including Moen, House of Rohl (encompassing Riobel, Perrin & Rowe, Victoria + Albert and Shaws), Aqualisa and SpringWell; Outdoors, which provides fiberglass and steel entry door systems (Therma-Tru), storm, screen and security doors (Larson), composite decking and railing (Fiberon), urethane millwork (Fypon) and wide-opening exterior door systems (Solar Innovations); and Security, which supplies locks, safety devices, electronic security products and safes under Master Lock, American Lock, SentrySafe, Emtek, Schaub, Yale residential and August smart locks. Recent strategic developments include the February 2024 acquisition of SpringWell Water Filtration Systems for $105 million to expand direct-to-consumer whole-home water filtration offerings; the June 2023 purchase of Emtek, Schaub premium hardware and U.S./Canadian Yale/August smart lock businesses from ASSA ABLOY to bolster connected security products; and the 2022 acquisitions of Aqualisa shower products and prior additions like Flo Technologies for smart water management under Moen. In April 2025, the company announced organizational changes consolidating U.S. regional offices into a single Deerfield headquarters campus to enhance innovation, digital solutions and operational efficiency, ahead of schedule with over 500 associates including 400 new hires. These moves, following the 2022 spin-off of its Cabinets business as MasterBrand, Inc. and ticker change to FBIN, sharpen focus on high-growth categories like connected products in a potential $100 billion market, leveraging brand leadership, channel expertise and global supply chains.
