Georg Fischer AG Georg Fischer AG engages in the development and provision of piping systems, building flow solutions, casting components, and machining technologies primarily for the safe transport of liquids and gases, lightweight vehicle construction, and high-precision manufacturing applications worldwide. Founded in 1802 and headquartered in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, the company operates through divisions including GF Piping Systems, which supplies plastic and metal piping components such as fittings, valves, pipes, automation, and jointing technologies for water cycle, industrial, utility, and building applications; GF Building Flow Solutions, offering safe drinking water systems, energy-efficient radiant heating and cooling, and infrastructure solutions for residential, commercial, municipal, and utility sectors; GF Casting Solutions, producing lightweight components via high-pressure die-casting, iron casting, precision casting, and additive manufacturing for automotive, aerospace, commercial vehicles, mobility, and energy industries; and GF Machining Solutions, providing electrical discharge machines, high-speed milling, laser texturing, additive manufacturing, automation, and digitalization for tool and mold making in information technology, aerospace, and automotive sectors. GF maintains a global presence in approximately 46 countries with around 15,700 employees across over 150 companies, including numerous production sites and research centers in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and beyond, generating sales of CHF 4.776 billion in 2024. As part of its strategic transformation to focus on flow solutions leadership, GF divested GF Machining Solutions on June 30, 2025, signed an agreement to divest GF Casting Solutions, closed the acquisition of VAG-Group to bolster metal valve offerings for infrastructure, and integrated Uponor into the new GF Building Flow Solutions division following its 2023 takeover completion.
