The company transports propane to distribution locations, customer premises tanks, and portable tanks for retailers; operates portable tank exchange services under the Blue Rhino brand through a network of independent and partnership-owned outlets; and sells refined fuels, common carrier services, propane appliances, parts, and fittings for applications including space and water heating, cooking, outdoor grilling, crop drying, irrigation, and weed control. Founded in 1939 by A.C. Ferrell and Mabel Ferrell in Atchison, Kansas, Ferrellgas Partners maintains its headquarters in Liberty, Missouri, and functions as a publicly traded Master Limited Partnership on the OTC Pink market.
