Business
GVS S.p.A. (GVS.MI) manufactures and sells filtration and protection solutions for healthcare, life sciences, industrial, energy, and mobility applications. The company offers advanced filtration products including sterile venting filters, liquid filters, hydrophobic and hydrophilic membranes, gas filters, and protective masks; respiratory protection devices such as FFP2/FFP3 masks and powered air-purifying respirators; and engineered components like sealing solutions and purification systems. GVS operates globally across Europe, North America, Asia, and other regions, serving pharmaceutical, medical device, automotive, and industrial customers. Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Zola Predosa, Bologna, Italy, the company maintains production facilities in Italy, the United States, China, and elsewhere, with a focus on high-performance materials and cleanroom manufacturing. In recent developments, GVS completed the acquisition of Entegris' filtration business in late 2023, significantly expanding its healthcare and semiconductor filtration portfolio; launched new sterile filtration lines for biologics and single-use systems in 2024; and formed strategic partnerships for respiratory protection supply amid ongoing global health demands, alongside investments in U.S. manufacturing capacity to support North American growth.
