- Fiera Milano S.p.A. is an Italy-based integrated trade fair and exhibition operator engaged in the organization, hosting, and management of trade exhibitions, congresses, and related events. Founded in 1920 and headquartered in Rho, Milan, the company operates primarily through four business segments: Italian Exhibitions, Foreign Exhibitions, Congresses, and Services. The group operates key event venues in the Milan metropolitan area, including the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition complex and Allianz MiCo (Milano Convention Centre), which constitute one of the largest exhibition and convention infrastructures in Europe.
The company provides a comprehensive suite of event-related products and services, including exhibition venue leasing and infrastructure management for proprietary and third-party organizers; full-cycle trade fair organization across strategic industrial and consumer sectors such as mechanical engineering, manufacturing tooling, energy, construction, fashion, furniture and design, food and beverage, hospitality, and tourism; customized and modular exhibition stand engineering, fitting, and rental through specialized technical units; global freight forwarding, customs clearance, on-site handling, and logistics solutions for exhibitors; congress, convention, and corporate event management including audiovisual production, ticketing, and catering coordination; and multi-channel media services encompassing B2B specialized publishing, digital marketing platforms, advertising space concession, and data analytics.
Fiera Milano serves domestic and international business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients, operating primarily across Italy while maintaining foreign exhibition activities and joint ventures in strategic international markets, including China and Brazil. The company operates through several operating subsidiaries, such as Nolostand S.p.A., Fiera Milano Media S.p.A., Fiera Milano Congressi S.p.A., Expotrans S.p.A., and Stipa S.p.A., and is controlled by Fondazione Fiera Milano, which owns the majority equity stake and primary real estate assets leased by the group.
In recent developments, Fiera Milano is executing its Strategic Plan 2024–2027, focused on strengthening its integrated service ecosystem, advancing digital and sustainable event solutions, and expanding its industry leadership. As part of its external growth strategy, the group agreed to acquire a 51 percent majority stake in exhibition booth design specialist Stipa S.p.A. and a 70 percent stake in Made in Steel, the premier biennial exhibition for the southern European steel supply chain. These additions complement the group's acquisition of a 51 percent stake in exhibition logistics provider Expotrans S.p.A. and a 35 percent interest in EMAC S.r.l., organizer of Milano AutoClassica, in partnership with Italian Exhibition Group. Additionally, Fiera Milano finalized a strategic agri-food alliance with Fiere di Parma, integrating the Tuttofood exhibition into a combined platform with Cibus, and is modernizing its venue infrastructure, notably adapting the Rho complex and Live DOME to host speed skating and international media facilities for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
