Business
PFISTERER Holding SE is an independent global manufacturer and provider of specialized electrical connection, contacting, and insulation systems for energy transmission and distribution infrastructure. Founded in 1921 and headquartered in Winterbach, Germany, the company develops, manufactures, and distributes components and turnkey solutions across all voltage levels from low and medium voltage up to extra-high voltage (1,100 kV). Its core offerings are structured across several specialized product and service categories: Cable Systems, comprising dry, pluggable inner-cone connection systems under the CONNEX brand for switchgear, transformers, and subsea terminations, as well as pre-molded silicone cable joints and terminations under the IXOSIL brand; Contact Systems, featuring stepless shear-off bolted connectors, terminals, and compression technology under the SICON brand for copper and aluminum electrical conductors; Overhead Line Technology, consisting of composite silicone insulators, vibration dampers, suspension assemblies, and hardware fittings for high-voltage transmission networks; Railway Infrastructure, providing automatic spring-loaded catenary tensioning systems under the TENSOREX brand, section insulators, and contact-wire accessories for high-speed and urban rail networks; Offshore Energy Solutions, delivering dry, gas-free pluggable inner-cone connector systems under the SEANEX brand designed for offshore wind farm inter-array cabling; and Safety Equipment and Engineering Services, offering voltage detectors, earthing and short-circuiting devices, diagnostic testing, installation, and field commissioning. PFISTERER serves transmission system operators, electrical utilities, offshore wind developers, rolling stock manufacturers, rail network operators, and industrial enterprises globally, maintaining manufacturing, engineering, and distribution sites across Germany, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In recent developments, PFISTERER completed its initial public offering on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Scale segment) in May 2025 to support global expansion. In October 2026, the company finalized the conversion of its share capital from bearer shares to registered shares under ticker PFS0 (ISIN: DE000PFSE253). Strategically, the company acquired UK-based subsea engineering specialist Power CSL in April 2025 to expand its offshore and subsea interconnection portfolio, initiated a large-scale manufacturing expansion in Kadaň, Czech Republic in 2026 by securing 46,000 square meters of industrial land to triple local capacity for insulators and cable accessories, expanded manufacturing capabilities at its Rochester, New York facility, and advanced development of next-generation SEANEX connection systems supporting offshore voltages up to 145 kV.
