Business
Gossamer Bio, Inc. is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical entity engaged in the advancement of novel therapeutic agents for significant unmet medical needs, operating from its headquarters in San Diego, California. The company's primary focus centers on seralutinib (GB002), an inhaled, small molecule designed to address pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD). Seralutinib functions as an inhibitor of platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR), colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R), and c-KIT, aiming to target the underlying vascular remodeling, inflammation, and fibrosis characteristic of these conditions. Presently, seralutinib is undergoing a global registrational Phase 3 clinical trial, known as the PROSERA Study, for the treatment of PAH, with patient screening recently concluded and topline results anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2025 or early 2026. Furthermore, the company is preparing to initiate the Phase 3 SERANATA Study for PH-ILD, with site activations planned for the fourth quarter of 2025. Gossamer Bio has forged a strategic collaboration with the Chiesi Group for the development and commercialization of seralutinib. The company also holds a licensing arrangement with Pulmokine, Inc. for seralutinib and related backup compounds. Expanding its pipeline in this therapeutic area, Gossamer Bio recently secured an option to acquire Respira Therapeutics and its lead candidate, RT234, an inhaled, on-demand vardenafil also intended for pulmonary hypertension. The firm's overarching objective is to be a leader in improving the lives of individuals affected by pulmonary hypertension. Gossamer Bio, Inc. was established in 2015.
