- Noctiluca Spolka Akcyjna is a Poland-based deep-tech chemical and advanced materials company that develops and manufactures proprietary, high-performance organic light-emitting diode (OLED) materials and photonic compounds for the global display and solid-state lighting industries. The company operates through advanced materials development and chemical contract research segments, offering a specialized portfolio of products and services that comprises: third-generation Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence (TADF) emitters; fourth-generation Multi-Resonant TADF (MR-TADF) and hyperfluorescence emitter systems; fifth-generation proprietary PST and PSF emitter compounds; high-efficiency electron injection layer (EIL) materials, including the proprietary NCEIL-4 compound engineered to extend blue pixel lifespan and reduce operating voltage; electron transport layer (ETL) compounds; host materials, sensitizers, and transport matrix chemicals; custom-formulated inks and printable materials optimized for Ink-Jet Printing (IJP) deposition; high-purity organic compounds tailored for Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) processing; and contract research organization (CRO) and contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) services, including custom chemical synthesis, molecular modeling, device fabrication testing, and material characterization. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Torun, Poland, Noctiluca maintains specialized research, development, and testing laboratories in Poland alongside commercial and technical operations in South Korea to serve primary consumer electronics, display manufacturing, and photonics markets across East Asia, Europe, and North America. The company targets tier-one flat-panel display manufacturers, micro-OLED panel producers, lighting fabricators, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of smartphones, televisions, laptops, wearable devices, and augmented and virtual reality headsets. In recent corporate developments, Noctiluca transitioned its public listing from the NewConnect alternative trading system to the Main Market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW: NCL) in December 2024. Operationally and commercially, the company has advanced multiple Material Transfer Agreements into comprehensive Joint Development Projects (JDPs) and qualification programs with leading global display and consumer electronics manufacturers, including ongoing JDP collaborations with TCL Group for electron transport and injection layer qualification, a trilateral testing partnership with a major global telecommunications OEM for mass-production line integration, and specialized joint development initiatives with micro-OLED display manufacturers. To support these industrial integration initiatives and expand its PVD testing infrastructure and production capacity, Noctiluca secured term-sheet agreements with the NCBR Investment Fund and IGS Investment for up to PLN 20.2 million in equity financing, supplemented by multi-million-dollar non-dilutive research grants awarded under European Union and national innovation frameworks, including the Smart Path initiative.
