Business
GoviEx Uranium Inc. (TSXV:GXU; OTCQB:GVXXF) is a Canadian mineral resources company focused on the acquisition, exploration, and development of uranium properties in Africa. Incorporated in 2006 in the British Virgin Islands and continued in British Columbia, Canada, in 2011, the company is headquartered at 999 Canada Place, Suite 606, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6C 3E1. It holds interests in key projects including the mine-permitted Muntanga Project in Zambia (100% owned, with four mining licenses and two exploration licenses featuring soft rock, liberated materials amenable to heap leach processing; Feasibility Study completed January 2025 confirming 28 million pounds U3O8 reserves over a 12-year initial life-of-mine based on two of five deposits; low acid consumption of 16.5 kg H2SO4 per tonne; recovery rates of at least 90%; processing via crush to p80 25mm and 25-day leaching cycles), the Madaouela Project in Niger (100% owned), and the Falea Project in Mali (80% owned multi-element deposit), targeting uranium production for Western and Eastern markets with considerable exploration upside in Zambia's Karoo sandstones. In a transformational development announced in 2025, GoviEx is pursuing a reverse takeover of ASX-listed Tombador Iron Limited via a plan of arrangement, rebranding the combined entity as Atomic Eagle Ltd with an ASX listing and planned US OTC presence; GoviEx shareholders will own approximately 75% of the entity post-transaction, bolstered by Tombador's concurrent A$5-10 million financing yielding pro forma cash of A$19.4-24.4 million to advance Muntanga development; the deal awaits 66⅔% securityholder approval at a meeting in late October 2025 (over 40% committed) and court/regulatory nods for an early November 2025 close.
