Holcim recently completed the spin-off of its North American business as Amrize in June 2025 and accelerated its circular construction initiatives with three acquisitions in late 2025: Thames Materials in the UK to cover Greater London, A&S Recycling GmbH in Germany adding three northern hubs for a total of ten sites, and a demolition materials recycler in northwest France bringing its centers there to 28; these deals boost annual recycling capacity by 1.3 million tons toward a 2030 group target of over 20 million tons using ECOCycle technology. In October 2025, Holcim signed a EUR 1.85 billion agreement to acquire Xella, a European leader in sustainable walling systems with brands including Ytong, Silka, Hebel and Multipor, projected 2025 net sales of around EUR 1 billion and expected EUR 60 million EBITDA synergies by year three to enhance its EUR 12 billion+ walling market presence.
