Business
REM Group (Holdings) Limited is an investment holding company engaged in the manufacture and sale of low-voltage electrical power distribution and control devices in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China. The company offers low-voltage switchboards; local motor control panels; motor control centers; electrical distribution boards and control boxes; electrical parts and replacements; and capacitor bank products, which serve applications including power distribution, power control, circuit connection, circuit switching and protection, as well as panel control and display in commercial buildings, shopping malls, casinos, hotels, banks, sewage treatment plants, schools, hospitals, railway stations, data centers and government headquarters. Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Chai Wan, Hong Kong, REM Group operates as a subsidiary of Unique Best Limited, employs 221 staff and primarily sells through direct channels to electromechanical service companies handling electrical installations, low-voltage systems, plumbing, ventilation, air-conditioning and fire services. In recent developments, the group implemented cost-saving measures that improved gross profit margin from 25.1% in 2023 to 26.0% in 2024 amid a 15.6% revenue decline to HK$140.8 million, reflecting reduced sales orders due to construction sector challenges; fully repaid short-term loans, lowering gearing ratio to nil; continued deployment of listing proceeds toward factory maintenance in Dongguan, equipment acquisitions, working capital and bulk supplier purchases, with HK$17.9 million unutilized as of December 2024; and maintained ISO 9001 certification alongside compliance with IEC 61439 standards, UK short-circuit testing and China Compulsory Certification.
