Business
Southeast Asia Properties & Finance Limited is a Hong Kong-based investment holding company primarily engaged in property investment and development, hotel operations, manufacturing and distribution of plastic packaging materials, and securities and financial services. Founded in 1972 and headquartered in Kowloon, Hong Kong, the company operates across Hong Kong and Mainland China through its operating subsidiaries, including Nan Sing Plastics Limited, Hotel Benito Management Limited, Stockwell Securities Limited, Stockwell Commodities Limited, and Gainful Sky Hong Kong Limited. The group operates across four core business segments: Manufacturing and Distribution, Property Investment and Development, Hotel Operations, and Financial Services. The Manufacturing and Distribution segment, operated primarily through Nan Sing Plastics Limited with production facilities in Dongguan, China, manufactures, converts, and distributes polythene (PE) packaging products, including low-density polyethylene (LDPE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) plastic bags, carrier bags, food-contact packaging films, refuse liners, and agricultural films; trading of raw plastic resins, color masterbatches, and chemical additives; and warehousing, trading, and recycling of plastic scrap materials. The Property Investment and Development segment engages in property investment, leasing, development, and management across a portfolio of commercial, industrial, residential, and co-working properties situated in Hong Kong and the People's Republic of China. The Hotel Operations segment manages and operates hospitality properties, prominently featuring Hotel Benito situated on Cameron Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. The Financial Services segment, conducted via Stockwell Securities Limited and Stockwell Commodities Limited, provides equity brokerage, index and commodity futures trading, options contracts execution, securities margin financing, and licensed money lending solutions. In recent developments, the company advanced its strategic property portfolio through its subsidiary Gainful Sky Hong Kong Limited by securing in-principle endorsement under the Hong Kong Government's Land Sharing Pilot Scheme (LSPS) for a multi-use redevelopment project in Kwai Chung comprising public and private residential housing alongside a residential care home for the elderly integrated with historic building preservation. In hospitality, the group completed major alteration and addition works at Hotel Benito to expand and optimize room capacity, supporting occupancy recovery amid rebounding tourist arrivals in Hong Kong. In its manufacturing operations, the group has implemented production automation upgrades and energy efficiency enhancements at its Dongguan manufacturing hub to meet international food packaging standards, while simultaneously refining digital execution channels and risk controls across its securities brokerage and margin lending businesses.
