Business
Muyuan Foods Co., Ltd. (002714.SZ) operates as a leading integrated pork producer in China, engaging in feed processing, pig breeding, commercial pig farming, slaughtering, and meat processing. The company offers commercial pigs, piglets, breeding pigs, white strips, and pork cuts such as sliced products; it also produces animal feed and pursues grain trade, eco-agriculture, financial services, and e-commerce. Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Nanyang, Henan province, Muyuan conducts operations across 24 provinces and 104 cities in China through over 270 subsidiaries and approximately 133,000 employees. Recent developments include a strategic partnership with BAF Vietnam Agriculture JSC for high-tech pig farming projects in Tay Ninh province, valued at 3.2 billion yuan, marking its first major overseas expansion and targeting 1.6 million pigs annually by 2027; a collaboration with Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Foods for global feed and slaughtering opportunities; and an agreement with Trouw Nutrition to advance piglet nutrition, precision feeding, and sustainable technologies. Muyuan has filed for a Hong Kong IPO to fund international growth and domestic enhancements in cut meat products and small packaging, amid first-half 2025 profit growth driven by cost efficiencies and slaughter volume increases of 134% year-on-year.
