- Duc Giang Chemicals Group Joint Stock Company (HOSE: DGC) is a Vietnam-based vertically integrated chemical manufacturing enterprise specializing in the processing and production of phosphorus-based industrial chemicals, agricultural fertilizers, consumer detergents, and electrochemical energy storage products. Founded in 1963 as Duc Giang Chemical Factory and headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam, the company manages an integrated value chain spanning mineral extraction, chemical refining, and downstream manufacturing across key production hubs in Lao Cai, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, and Dak Nong.
The company offers a comprehensive portfolio organized across four primary business segments: Phosphorus and Industrial Chemicals, Fertilizers and Agrochemicals, Detergents and Specialty Cleaners, and Batteries and Energy Storage. Its core offerings comprise: yellow phosphorus (P4) utilized in industrial applications, agrochemicals, and semiconductor fabrication; technical-grade, food-grade, and electronic-grade phosphoric acid; thermal phosphoric acid (TPA) and wet-process phosphoric acid (WPA); polyphosphoric acid; sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP); sodium hexametaphosphate (SHMP); industrial sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and sodium hypochlorite; Chloramin B disinfectant compounds; monoammonium phosphate (MAP), diammonium phosphate (DAP), and compound NPK fertilizers; single superphosphate (SSP) and potassium sulfate; dicalcium phosphate (DCP) and monocalcium phosphate (MCP) animal feed additives; laundry detergent powders, liquid detergents, dishwashing solutions, floor cleaners, and surface disinfectants marketed under the Duc Giang and related brand names; dry-charged and maintenance-free (MF) lead-acid starter batteries for automotive, marine, and aviation applications; sealed valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) industrial batteries for telecommunications, uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems, and renewable energy facilities; and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode materials and battery cells.
Duc Giang Chemicals Group serves agricultural cooperatives, industrial manufacturers, electronic component producers, and retail consumers across Vietnam, while exporting industrial and specialty chemicals to international markets throughout East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, North America, and Europe, with substantial market presence in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, India, and the United States. The group conducts its operational and manufacturing activities through several key subsidiaries and affiliates, including Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemical Co., Ltd., Duc Giang Nghi Son Chemical Co., Ltd., Vietnam Phosphorus Apatite Joint Stock Company (PAT), Tia Sang Battery Joint Stock Company (TIBACO), Duc Giang - Dinh Vu Chemical Co., Ltd., and Dak Nong Duc Giang Chemical Co., Ltd.
In recent strategic developments, the group has advanced key expansion projects, diversified into high-tech chemicals, and executed corporate reorganizations. The company commenced construction on Phase 1 of its VND 12 trillion Nghi Son Chemical Complex in Thanh Hoa province to produce caustic soda (NaOH), polyaluminum chloride (PAC) water treatment chemicals, and PVC derivatives. To accelerate its entry into the electric vehicle and clean energy supply chain, the group completed the acquisition of a 51 percent controlling interest in Tia Sang Battery Joint Stock Company, utilizing this platform to scale the development and production of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells and materials, with prototype batches supplied to international commercial partners in East Asia and Europe. In addition, the group operationalized a 200,000-ton-per-year NPK fertilizer and potassium sulfate production facility in Dak Nong province and progressed development planning for a large-scale integrated bauxite-alumina-aluminum mining and refining complex in the Central Highlands. The company also implemented board and governance transitions to ensure operational stability and continued execution of its capital investment programs while expanding direct export allocations of high-purity electronic-grade phosphoric acid to global semiconductor supply chains.
