Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company is a Vietnam-based agribusiness conglomerate primarily engaged in large-scale crop cultivation, livestock farming, and agricultural processing. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Pleiku, Gia Lai Province, Vietnam, the company manages extensive agricultural plantations and livestock facilities across Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Hoang Anh Gia Lai operates through integrated agricultural business segments encompassing fruit production, swine breeding, and ancillary agribusiness operations. The company's core product and service portfolio includes fresh and processed export-grade Cavendish bananas; fresh and frozen durian fruit varieties, notably Monthong and Ri6; live commercial pigs and banana-fed pork products raised under a closed-loop circular agriculture model; Arabica and Robusta coffee; organic and microbiological fertilizers derived from agricultural by-products; and agro-logistics, cold chain storage, and packaging services. The company supplies food retailers and wholesalers across Vietnam and exports primary agricultural commodities to major overseas markets, including China, Japan, and South Korea. In recent operational and financial developments, Hoang Anh Gia Lai has executed a comprehensive strategic restructuring to eliminate debt and focus capital on high-yield circular agriculture centered on bananas, durians, and pig farming. In addition, the company completed the divestment of its major non-core assets to retire outstanding debt, including the sale of its 99 percent stake in Hoang Anh Gia Lai - University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital Joint Stock Company for VND 370 billion and the disposal of the Hoang Anh Gia Lai Hotel in Pleiku for VND 180 billion.
