Business
VietNam - Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VietABank) is a commercial banking institution headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam, that provides a comprehensive suite of retail banking, commercial banking, treasury, and digital financial solutions to individual consumers, small and medium-sized enterprises, and corporate institutions across Vietnam. Established in 2003 through the merger of Saigon Joint Stock Finance Company and Da Nang Rural Commercial Joint Stock Bank, the bank operates a nationwide distribution network comprising branches and transaction offices across major economic centers. The company's core operations and offerings encompass retail banking products, including demand and term deposit accounts, personal installment loans, residential mortgages, vehicle financing, and domestic and international debit and credit card services; commercial and corporate banking solutions, including working capital facilities, medium- and long-term project financing, syndicated loans, escrow accounts, cash management, and entrusted payroll payment services; international trade finance and treasury operations, featuring import and export letters of credit, UPAS letters of credit, documentary collections, export factoring, foreign exchange trading, and cross-border wire transfers; digital and transaction banking services, provided through the VietABank EzMobile application and corporate online banking systems for automated clearing, electronic tax payments, and remote account management; and third-party financial distribution, encompassing life and non-life bancassurance policies offered in partnership with underwriters such as Mirae Asset Prevoir, alongside debt instrument and wealth advisory services. In recent major developments, VietABank completed the official transfer of its equity listing from the Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM) to the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) under ticker VAB in July 2025 to enhance market liquidity and corporate governance. To strengthen its balance sheet and regulatory capital ratios, the bank executed capital increases raising its charter capital to over VND 8.16 trillion through equity-funded bonus share issuances, while simultaneously executing an enterprise-wide digital transformation roadmap that integrates automated banking platforms with advisory-focused branch networks.
