Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Shanghai, China, the company maintains global operations with offices in Palo Alto, California, USA; Stuttgart, Germany; and manufacturing centers including the Da Vinci Global Operations Center and Hertz and Maxwell facilities, serving customers across more than 40 countries in North America, Europe, Mainland China and other regions. Recent developments include a September 2025 $40 million exclusive LiDAR supply contract with a leading U.S. robotaxi operator for long- and short-range products through 2026, design wins for Li Auto's new-generation assisted driving platform in November 2025, achievement of 2025 profitability one quarter ahead of schedule with new supply agreements alongside Pony.ai and Hello in November 2025, surpassing 1 million units produced in 2025 by October and nearing 2 million cumulative deliveries by November, a dual-primary listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange raising $614 million in September 2025, and launches of advanced products like the ultra-high resolution AT512, compact ATX and next-generation OT128.
