Business
Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. (HST) operates as the world's largest publicly traded lodging real estate investment trust (REIT), focusing on the ownership of luxury and upper-upscale hotels in top U.S. markets; its portfolio includes approximately 80 properties totaling nearly 43,000 rooms, featuring brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, and 1 Hotels, with select international holdings in markets like Brazil, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. The company provides comprehensive asset management services, including strategic acquisitions, renovations, capital improvements, and partnerships with top-tier operators to optimize performance and drive revenue from business travelers, leisure guests, groups, and conventions. In 2024, the company completed $1.5 billion in acquisitions, including the 234-room 1 Hotel Central Park in New York for $265 million, the 450-room Ritz-Carlton O'ahu, Turtle Bay in Hawaii for $680 million, the 215-room 1 Hotel Nashville, and the 506-room Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville Downtown, expanding into three new markets and enhancing its portfolio quality with projected high RevPAR and EBITDA contributions. Host Hotels & Resorts also advanced resiliency investments, progressed on the Hyatt Transformational Capital Program, returned $844 million to stockholders via dividends and share repurchases, and achieved sustainability milestones that lowered its credit facility interest rate while advancing toward 2030 environmental and social targets.
