- Highway 50 Gold Corp. is a Canada-based mineral exploration-stage company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and evaluation of gold-mineral properties, with operations concentrated in north-central Nevada, United States. The Company’s principal activity is the exploration for Carlin-type gold deposits through geological, geochemical, geophysical and diamond-drilling programs informed by its interpretation of the region’s deep crustal architecture. Its principal mineral interests include the wholly owned Gold Knob gold project in Pershing County, Nevada, comprising 589 unpatented mining claims located approximately 80 kilometres southwest of Winnemucca; the wholly owned Johnson Canyon project in Lander County, Nevada; the Quito North project in the Quito Mine district approximately 10 kilometres south of Austin, Nevada, where the Company has expanded its land position; and the Golden Brew property in Lander County, Nevada. Highway 50 Gold’s exploration services and activities include mineral-target generation; claim acquisition and management; structural, geological and geochemical interpretation; surface sampling; magnetotelluric and other geophysical surveys; drilling and core/rock sample analysis; and the delineation of prospective gold-mineralized zones. The Company targets prospective large-scale gold systems in an established mining jurisdiction and operates through a Nevada-focused exploration strategy rather than commercial mining or mineral processing activities.
In recent developments, Highway 50 Gold completed an upsized non-brokered private placement in March 2026, raising gross proceeds of approximately C$2.414 million through the issuance of 6.035 million units at C$0.40 per unit; proceeds were designated principally for drilling at Gold Knob and general working capital. The Company commenced a 5,000-metre Phase I drilling campaign at its 100%-owned Gold Knob project in June 2026, comprising an anticipated 10 to 15 drill holes designed to offset known mineralization and test for a major gold system at depth. In September 2026, Highway 50 reported an extensive gold-mineralized zone at Gold Knob, with discovery hole GK-26-9A returning 51.82 metres grading 0.60 grams per tonne gold, including 4.6 metres grading 1.02 grams per tonne gold and 4.6 metres grading 2.74 grams per tonne gold; a follow-up hole approximately 1.15 kilometres southeast encountered geologically similar material, with assays pending. The Company also expanded its board during 2026, appointing Brian D. Edgar and Peter Schloo in March and appointing an additional director in July. Incorporated in 2004 and formerly known as Tatmar Ventures Inc. until its July 2011 name change, Highway 50 Gold Corp. is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
