Business
PT Ancara Logistics Indonesia Tbk (ALII.JK) provides coal transportation, transshipment, and logistics services primarily in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in South Jakarta, the company operates through segments including coal barging with river and sea barges and tugboats; inter transshipment points via its subsidiary PT Mahakam Coal Terminal for loading and unloading coal from barges to stockpiles at 1,500 tons per hour capacity with 230,000 tons stockpile; and floating transshipment units with 20,000 tons per weather working day capacity at Muara Berau port in Samarinda. It serves major coal mining clients such as PT Ade Putra Tanrajeng and PT Guruh Putra Bersama under 25-year contracts, holding a fleet of 49 owned tugboats and barges with capacities from 1,800 to 7,500 metric tons, supplemented by chartered vessels; the company maintains certifications including SIUPAL, ISM Code, and ISPS Code. Recent developments include aggressive fleet expansion from 49 vessels in 2024 to 57 in 2025 and 70 in 2026 with additional owned and rented barges to boost freight volumes over 50% year-over-year; launch of ship-to-ship coal transfer operations in Kotabangun in second-half 2025 to shorten transport times from seven to four days versus Mahakam Coal Terminal routes; acquisition of a floating transshipment vessel in early 2023; and a December 2024 share transaction where PT Borneo Logistik Indonesia divested its 11.02% stake valued at IDR 120.34 billion to Singapore-based Borneo Logistics Services Pte Ltd for business development and investment purposes following debt repayment.
