PT Saranacentral Bajatama Tbk engages in the manufacturing and trading of coated steel products in Indonesia as a member of the Sarana Steel Group. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Gedung Baja Tower B, 6th Floor, Jl. Pangeran Jayakarta No. 55, Central Jakarta, with production facilities in Mekarjaya village, East Karawang, the company operates primarily in the domestic market serving industries including building and construction, automotive, electrical and machinery, roofing and cladding, and office equipment. It produces hot-dip galvanized steel sheets and coils under the SARANA brand; aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel (55% Al-45% Zn), branded SARANALUME or BjLAS in grades such as G300, G550, AS50, AS70, AS100, and AS150; and pre-painted or color-coated galvanized steel under the SARANACOLOR brand, utilizing advanced Non-Oxidation Furnace (NOF) technology for superior quality and foldability up to 180 degrees without peeling. The company markets these products through four segments: Galvanized, Saranalume, Colouring, and Non-Production, with ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management and SNI marks for domestic content levels. In recent developments, PT Saranacentral Bajatama Tbk held its 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders and appointed new Audit Committee members; strategically shifted production emphasis in 2023 toward higher-margin Saranalume products, which contributed 87.34% of sales or Rp832.98 billion before returns and discounts, achieving gross profit of Rp11.94 billion after a prior year's loss; implemented cost efficiencies including preventive maintenance, aggressive reductions in production and administrative expenses (down 93.7% to Rp2.32 billion), and workforce optimization; and maintained focus on corporate project sales amid import competition while postponing capacity conversions pending market stability into 2024.
