Founded in 1967 and headquartered at Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat No. 21 in Jakarta, Indonesia, the company functions as a subsidiary of Ooredoo Hutchison Asia Pte. Ltd., a joint venture between Ooredoo Group and CK Hutchison Holdings; key subsidiaries include PT Aplikanusa Lintasarta for enterprise data services. PT Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison Tbk emerged from the 2022 merger of PT Indosat Tbk and PT Hutchison 3 Indonesia, creating a stronger entity with expanded spectrum, infrastructure synergies, and a combined subscriber base to accelerate digital transformation. Recent developments include a landmark two-year extension of its partnership with Nokia, signed in December 2024, to expand 4G and 5G networks nationwide from 2025 to 2027 using AirScale equipment, multiband radio, high-capacity baseband, AI, and machine learning for optimized deployment in high-demand areas.
