In recent developments, the Government of India elevated its stake to 48.99% in March 2025 by converting Rs 36,950 crore of spectrum dues into equity; the company launched 5G services in Mumbai during the same month, expanded 4G capacity by over 38% with 17% speed improvements by September 2025, pursued Rs 50,000-55,000 crore funding for 4G densification and fiber rollout, reduced debt issuance size targeting December 2025 completion via bonds backed by the parent, and extended its partnership with Kyndryl for IT services in November 2025.
