Andritz AG (ANDR.VI), headquartered in Graz, Austria, and founded in 1852, operates as an international technology group that supplies plants, equipment, systems, automation solutions, and services to hydropower, pulp and paper, metals, environment and energy, and other specialized industries including solid/liquid separation, nonwovens, biomass pelleting, and animal feed processing. The company serves a global customer base through approximately 30,000 employees at more than 280 locations in over 80 countries, with four primary business areas: Pulp & Paper offering technologies for pulp, paper, tissue, board, nonwovens, and textiles including woodyard equipment, refiners, dryers, and recycling systems; Metals providing turnkey lines for cold-rolled carbon steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, furnaces, presses, galvanizing, and strip processing equipment; Hydro delivering electromechanical systems, turbines, pumps, pumped storage, and digital solutions for hydropower plants; and Environment & Energy encompassing boilers, carbon capture, green hydrogen electrolyzers, P2X renewable fuels, flue gas cleaning, gasification, separation technologies such as centrifuges, filters, and thickeners, plus pumps and waste-to-energy plants. Andritz targets industries like renewable energy, automotive, steel, battery manufacturing, municipal water management, and power generation with comprehensive lifecycle services, digitalization via its Metris IIoT brand, and sustainable solutions such as the CircleToZero initiative for zero waste in pulp and paper. In 2025, Andritz executed an aggressive acquisition strategy, completing the purchase of LDX Solutions for emission reduction technologies and Allen-Sherman-Hoff from Babcock & Wilcox for boiler ash handling systems, while announcing and advancing deals for A.Celli Paper in tissue winding, Diamond Power International for boiler cleaning, and Salico Group for metal strip finishing equipment; these moves, totaling around €99 million in spending, complement core portfolios, expand lifecycle services, and enhance capabilities in renewables, metals, and environment sectors amid strong order intake growth including major hydropower projects in India and China.
