Business
Hugo Boss AG is a leading global fashion and lifestyle company in the premium segment, headquartered in Metzingen, Germany, and founded in 1924. The company designs, markets and distributes high-quality women's and men's apparel, shoes and accessories through its two core brands, BOSS and HUGO; BOSS offers sophisticated modern collections encompassing businesswear, casualwear, athleisure, tailoring, jeans, blouses and refined accessories including watches; HUGO provides fashion-forward tailoring and cool casual pieces for style individualists. It also offers licensed products such as fragrances, eyewear, children's fashion, home textiles, cycling apparel and writing utensils, sold via 451 owned stores, shop-in-shops, outlets, around 5,600 wholesale points of sale and digital platforms in 128 countries worldwide. Hugo Boss AG operates in more than 128 countries, targeting millennials and younger demographics with its BOSS and HUGO brands across retail, wholesale, franchise and e-commerce channels. In December 2025, the company launched its CLAIM 5 TOUCHDOWN strategy through 2028, building on prior CLAIM 5 initiatives to sharpen focus on brand elevation, distribution optimization—including franchise expansion in the United States and China—and operational excellence for sustainable profitable growth, targeting annual free cash flow of EUR 300 million from 2026 and an EBIT margin around 12%. Recent developments include Frasers Group's further strategic investment via put options in late 2025, alongside nominating its CEO for Hugo Boss's Supervisory Board, and the sale of its Russian business to wholesale partner Stockmann in 2024. In fiscal year 2024, Hugo Boss AG reported sales of EUR 4.3 billion with approximately 18,500 employees.
