Business
Inter-Rock Minerals Inc. is a Canada-based holding company focused on the acquisition, operation, and expansion of businesses in the mining, industrial minerals, and dairy feed industries. Incorporated in 1952 and headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, the company owns two principal U.S.-based operating subsidiaries: MIN-AD Inc., which quarries and processes high-purity dolomite and clay products primarily for the animal feed sector with operations in northern Nevada; and Papillon Agricultural Company Inc., which develops, markets, and distributes toll-manufactured premium dairy feed nutritional supplements including bypass protein supplements, rumen enhancement products such as prebiotics and probiotics, mineral supplements, and MIN-AD's dolomite-based offerings to dairy consultants, feed suppliers, producers, manufacturers, and nutritionists across the United States and Canada. Papillon serves as the exclusive distributor and sales manager for MIN-AD's dairy industry products, with approximately 80% of MIN-AD's annual production directed to Papillon; additional MIN-AD dolomite sales target glass, roofing, and aglime markets. In recent strategic developments, Inter-Rock Minerals streamlined its operations by selling its Oklahoma-based Mill Creek Dolomite business to United States Lime & Minerals Inc. In August 2025, the company launched a normal course issuer bid approved by the TSX Venture Exchange to repurchase up to 1,000,000 common shares for cancellation over a 12-month period starting August 29, 2025, signaling confidence in its valuation amid ongoing growth initiatives. The company continues to pursue expansion through operational enhancements and further acquisitions, supported by recent financial performance including Q2 2025 earnings per share of US$0.049 and trailing twelve-month revenue of CAD 144.23 million.
